Punta Gorda Isles and Burnt Store Isles Real Estate Recommendations

     
Punta Gorda Isles (PGI), Florida

 The "sleeper" in Florida real estate is the Gulf Coast community known as Punta Gorda Isles or PGI. It is located between Naples-Ft. Myers and Sarasota-Tampa and is nestled along Charlotte Harbor with quick direct access from its canal network to the Gulf of Mexico. Its powerboat and sailboat residents enjoy boating from their own backyards as shown above. It also offers single family and multifamily residences on the St. Andrews South golf course in addition to single family and multifamily residences on its canal system, which by-the-way, is more extensive than that in Venice, Italy.

PGI was hit by Hurricane Charley on August 13, 2004, but after six-plus years, it has mostly recovered and today is the "sleeper" in South Florida real estate. PGI has exceptional values today in both salt waterfront lots, golf course lots, golf course single family homes and multifamily duplex and condominium units, and powerboat and sailboat single family and multifamily homes with quick access to the Gulf of Mexico. The slump in the American housing market has created some very exceptional buying opportunities in PGI that has already attracted astute investors.
